North Country Hospital is a 25 bed critical access private, nonprofit acute care community hospital with physician practices serving twenty communities in a two-county area in the rural Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
Located on 30 acres in a quiet, easily accessible part of the City of Newport, NCH blends medical expertise and technology with a genuine concern for people. Our staff of 605 includes 32 employed physicians and 15 mid-level practitioners. The active medical staff of 41 physicians includes 4 rural health clinics, and numerous specialties.
Our nursing home Derby Green has won quality awards for the past 6 years and has been named among the top nursing facilities in the nation in the February 2010 issue of US News and World Report. Our award winning Wellness Center has offered a variety of health and wellness classes for nearly 30 years.
