North Country Hospital is pleased to welcome six recent nursing school graduates into our 2018 Nurse Residency Program.  The nurse residency is a program for the new graduate registered nurse and serves to guide in the transition from student nurse to an acute care professional nurse over an eight month time frame. The program provides a structured orientation to their clinical area with an experienced Registered Nurse guiding them. In addition to the clinical orientation the nurse residents attend a series of classes with a Nurse Educator designed to foster skill sets, help with clinical decision making, enhance patient safety and develop leadership skills.

All six students have graduated from an RN program and are busy with clinical as well as classroom work. Pictured here are Andrea Ladouceur, Tammy Bothwell, Cassandra Cota (all Vermont Technical College graduates), Erika Millett (University of Southern Maine), Emma Murphy (University of St. Joseph) and Hannah Johnson (University of Colorado).
